The Frustrating Kind

Some FAIL is more frustrating than other fail.  I tried to do everything right last evening.  I was tired, so I came home, had a simple dinner and relaxed.  Decided to try adopting the idea of no food three hours before bed, no liquid two hours before, no screens one hour before.  Targeted 10:00pm for bedtime, with the hope that maybe I'd nod off early.  Accomplished all of those things, was actually in bed by 8:45 with a book and the blue blockers.

And then once it was time, I could not sleep.

The longer I laid there, the worse it got - sinus inflammation.  Can't breathe through nose.  Maddening.  I finally got up, moved to the recliner and was able to free up enough go to sleep, but I didn't make that move until after midnight.

So this morning's sleep grade is another big fat F.  Invested more than ten hours, probably got seven between 12:30 and 8:00 in the recliner, was very slow getting going and very late to work.  At least I got enough to be somewhat functional.  I'm grateful to have the recliner as an option, but it's hardly optimal.

Oh, and I also disposed of a ton of water.  Not at all frustrated about that.

Breakfast:  CF sausage links, orange juice, coffee
 
 
Again, and again very tasty.

Lunch:   Huevos rancheros, lazy man style (6x corn tortillas, 3 eggs sunny in a bit of EVOO, spicy beans plus El Pato tomato sauce, a little shredded cheddar, cotija cheese, cilantro.  Leftover OM bacon.

Slowly cleaning up the holiday stuff and other things I have in the fridge.  These were tasty, will probably have again tomorrow for lunch.

Dinner:  Brisket w primal kitchen bbq sauce, 12 oz All Day IPA, popcorn, chocolate milk
 
 
Got three fat slices from the grocery store, only ate two so I'll probably have brisket tacos this weekend.
 
Exercise:  Nope.
