Just BASS

Sunday, January 12, 2025

There's a simple goal for you.  BASS.

Be a smaller size.

I'm never going to be skinny or ripped or athletic.  But I CAN be a smaller size.  It's going to take work and it's going to take changes.  What I do now has me dialed into this same range, way above my basic target weight -- which I haven't hit in more than 25 years -- and even more above where I should be if I'm metabolically healthy.  My basic target rate is still in the obese range, I have to go 40 pounds beyond that to get out. Maybe some day.  But for now, it's simple.  BASS.  That's the goal.

Last night's sleep gets another C-.  Again same scheduled, asleep about midnight, woke up a little after 7:00.  One wakeup but didn't have to get up.  Sinuses were agitated before I went to bed, I bought a vapostick yesterday and tried that, it definitely calmed them down some and made it easier to get to sleep.  They were a little cranky this morning but not too bad.  But I was very tired when I got up, which tells me that quality of sleep was below average.  Scale with the minimal blip up after way too many carbs.

Anyway, on with today.  Remember, you want to BASS.

Breakfast:  Lazy bagels with chive/onion cream cheese, coffee

These will need to be axed.  Today's version were elite though.  Now that I think of it, I believe that after I make pumpkin bread that's underway I'll only have a couple cups of flour on hand.  That would be one way to make sure I don't do lazy bagels, no flour lol.

Lunch:  Huevos rancheros, 2 CF sausage links

Excellent as always.  Ate the links after I finished prepping a batch for the next couple days.  I still have to do taco meat.

Snack:  Pumpkin bread with butter

Had to do a little quality control.  Very tasty.

Dinner:  Busy day casserole, cheesy green beans, NSA peaches, roll w butter, 12 oz Miller Lite, ice cream

Sunday dinners.

Exercise:  Yes.  The bare minimum - 10 minute+ walk (0.50 mile) on the treadmill, followed by ~ 20 minutes of puttering around in the weight room.  It wasn't the greatest workout ever but I showed up.  Even if it took until mid-afternoon to get to it.  It's going to take some getting used to if I continued to do end of day instead of early mornings.  I will say I felt pretty good this evening.
