Routines Of The Not Preferred Type

It occurred to me this morning when I woke up that I may be settling into a routine.  I woke up shortly before my 7:15 am alarm after going to bed and falling asleep just after midnight.  That has happened multiple times this week, and I see waking up on time just before my alarm as a sign that my body thinks it's the routine.

It's just not the routine I want.

I want to be an early to bed early to rise person.  But it is SUCH a struggle.  So maybe, if this continues, maybe I'll live with a late-to-late routine and readjust my thinking about when I will exercise and do various other things.  If that's what it takes to start moving consistently, I'll do it.  But it is most definitely going to require some mental retraining.  I just want to not have to fight every night.

Sleep grade for last night is a B+.  Other than feeling genuine pep or getting more than seven hours it would be hard to improve too much.  I fell asleep easily, stayed asleep all night, woke just before my alarm and got 7 hours.  Felt fine when I woke up and had no difficulty getting going.  No need to snooze or doze.  So I must have gotten decent quality sleep.  I'll take it.  Scale was also unexpectedly kind despite the fast food burger dinner and late night sourdough.

Breakfast:  Sourdough bread w butter, Cabot cojack cheese, orange juice, coffee

Too much in all respects.  I was fine after one slice of bread, I did not need a second.  I put half the cheese serving back in the package instead of eating it.  And I poured too much OJ.  Lesson learned.

Lunch:  Soup and mash, a slice of parmesan toast, Bubbies dill pickle

A little less soup than usual.  Good as always.  Too much bread today and I still have half a boule or more left - may need to freeze some.

Dinner:  Home tacos, 12 oz All Day IPA

Man those are good.  I want to keep eating them.  They are gone.  Currently waiting a few minutes to see if I want to do some popcorn too.  Probably yes, and chocolate milk.

Exercise:  Nope.  See above.
