Going Less Than Hard

Saturday, January 25, 2025

TGIS.  Even though much of the weekend will be spent at work, it's still good to have it.  Much more relaxed.

A most very average start to the day, sleep grade C.  To bed a little early, slept from just after 11 to just after 5, the very standard six hours.  Unable to just roll over today, so I ended up snoozing in the recliner for a couple hours.  Probably got a little extra sleep but it's low quality.  Unusually significant headache when I first woke up but it went away in no time.  So all around just very, very average.  Scale was down fractionally to my surprise, despite the keto bowl and too many chips and not disposing of that stuff.

Going to attempt a farm run this morning.  The plan, such as it is, is to start going harder after this weekend.  I'll probably still have tacos on Monday, but otherwise I want to see if I can get in a stretch of true low carb.  I have been wondering this morning how long it would take to fix my broken metabolic health -- at what point would I (hopefully) regain the ability to have my body deal with the occasional deviation without freaking out and retaining water like crazy?  I dunno, may be weeks, may be much longer.  But I should find out.

Breakfast:  Lazy bagels, chive and onion cream cheese, coffee

First effort with the italian flour, they were fine though I should have measured.  A little lax with that, ended up using too much flour.  Still good.

Lunch:  2 CF eggs scrambled with chorizo and cheddar, 2 strips CF hickory bacon, avocado, home bread w butter

Cleaning up some stuff.  Very tasty, a bit much, and right on the edge of too much cold stuff vs hot stuff.  I prefer the hotter side of lukewarm.  So tomorrow, maybe fewer cold ingredients.

Made it to the farm and stocked up on everything except ground beef and chorizo.  I'm not crazy about their ground beef packaging and they were out of chorizo, bummer.  Got a fresh half gallon of milk from the other farm (they only do beef by the quarter or half) and I'm ready to go.

Dinner:   Spaghetti, 12 oz All Day IPA

Tasty as always.

Exercise:  Nope.
