I think it needs to be tried. More meals/snacks but each one small. Still trying to keep within an eating window - if I could get it to 10 hours or less that would be great, but at the moment it's closer to 12. The hope is to have somewhat more consistent energy. If that doesn't happen, well, it wouldn't exactly take a lot to abandon it and go back to the usual meals.
Sluggish start, definitely could have used another hour or two to doze. But okay once going, so far. Scale was down smartly despite the fact that I felt heavier. Still in the same range.
Breakfast: Bacon wrap, coffee
Still feels like a sound first meal. About 400 calories, so it fits the 4-5 smaller meals plan. A little after 8:30.
Lunch: Home cheeseburger w guac, Meijer hot dill pickles
One patty instead of two. A little after 12:30. Looks like about 550 calories. Again a good size.
Snack: Leftover brat with jala mustard
Unusual to have something of substance on hand. About 4:30. About 350 calories
Dinner: Chef salad with ranch, 12 oz Miller Lite
Post-golf. About 8:00. It was not their finest effort and I think I'm done with the salad experiment. Which is unfortunate, there just aren't any good menu choices. It's a pizza and sandwich joint. Based on the limited nutrition info that's out there the french dip looks like the best sandwich option.
Grabbed a popcorn on the way home.
Exercise: 9 holes with cart. Not a huge amount of extra walking but enough. Felt fine. I think having a modest snack worked out.
