A Store BBQ Score

Saturday, June 6, 2026

Ahh, yes.  Saturday.  Time for some of that fresh air and exercise I don't get during the week.

Another weird night of sleep.  Same story, was not tired, could not get to sleep, it was about 1:00 before I did.  And I knew the alarm was going off at 6:00.  Thankfully it's been an okay day and other than running out of gas on the last hole a bit I have felt fine.  Scale, to my disappointment, was minimum up.  It's not anything close to a big deal, but when you are this fat and you've been on plan, seeing an increase, even one that's a tiny fraction of a pound, is deflating.  We'll see what two days with carby meals does - breakfast today, dinner tomorrow.

Breakfast:  2 eggs over medium, 3 strips bacon, hash browns, raisin toast w jam, coffee

The standard.  A very fine effort.

Lunch:  12 oz Miller Lite

Post-golf.  I was not hungry.

Dinner:  Brisket w G Hughes SF bbq sauce

Just grocery store brisket but my guy hooked me up, four fat slices for $9.  Easily two meals worth, could be three if I stretched it at all.

Had a few celery sticks with some Daisy ranch dip - clean and surprisingly low carb.

And the capper, some SF butterscotch pudding for dessert.

Exercise:  18 holes with cart.  Not a huge amount of walking but enough.  Pleased to not be more tired.
