Well, one more day and then it's back to reality. I have definitely enjoyed the downtime, if I can get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight I have hopes that I'll be ready to tackle the upcoming week refreshed and with new enthusiasm. We'll see.
A bit of a rebound on the scale this morning, which I chalk up to a combo of bad eating -- too much and way too many carbs yesterday -- and being a bit backed up. Today is also likely to be suboptimal, but hopefully not too awful. I am planning to make a batch of double meat less veg soup for lunches - even though burgers are pretty doggone easy nothing beats the ease of heating up some soup. Now that my A/C is operational I can cook with impunity.
Breakfast: Lazy bagels with cream cheese, coffee
I managed to resist the mild impulse at the store last evening to buy a tub of veggie cream cheese, but the seed was planted to make these anyway, and I had a brick of cream cheese on hand for potential use in ice cream experiments. Cleaned up a carton of yogurt too.
Lunch: 2 eggs over medium, hash browns in olive oil, leftover brisket w a little Stubbs BBQ sauce, a little super beefy soup
Made lots of dirty dishes this morning. But cleaned up the brisket, the package of hash browns and ate the tiny bit of runt soup from today's batch.
While golfing had a Powerade lemon lime. They didn't have any Zeros.
Dinner: Shishkebabs (sirloin, bacon, grape tomatoes, mushrooms), mashed potatoes, green beans, 12 oz Miller Lite, blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, a glass of 2% milk
Sunday dinner. Not to beat my chest too much but I can cook some darned tasty food. Local blueberries for the cobbler. Almost forgot any kind of photo, I was hungry! Obviously ate more than this!
Exercise: 18 holes with cart, less walking than usual. I'm definitely feeling tired - it's been great getting in a lot of exercise but I'm feeling it. Hoping for good sleep tonight. Need to remember to down some electrolytes, it was hot and I drank a LOT of water.
