Very happy to have another weekend day, even though I'm planning to spend a good chunk of it at work.  I made major progress on a reorganization yesterday and I want to build on that by finishing the immediate stuff and getting some things lined up for the week.

Feeling pretty positive this morning, despite a sluggish start.  Got up at 4:45 but it took until 6:30 to really get moving.  A little sleepy but not enough to nod off completely.  It'll be okay.  The positive vibes were definitely enhanced by stepping on the scale, where I posted my best number since late September.  I mean it's still very high, I'm still very fat and all that, but it was still nice to see.  Turns out that eating at home and getting a little heavy exercise is good for you.  I'm also now "down" (lol) for the year.  It seems silly to forecast how things will go given my decades of fail, but I actually spent some time during my morning musing to consider how I can hold things together through the rest of the holiday season.  I am especially encouraged by the feeling I had a couple times this week of being full -- I was able, for example, to stop eating at lunch yesterday when I had enough.  The satiety signal has been so broken for so long it would be great to have it back.

Breakfast:  Lazy bagels with cream cheese, coffee

Seems like more of a new years resolution to axe the lazy bagels.  I do enjoy them.

Lunch:  Huevos rancheros (2 CF eggs fried in olive oil, corn tortillas, spicy beans, quick ranchero sauce, double cheddar cheese and a jalapeno), sour cream, 2 CF sausage links


Very delicious.  I learned a few things that can be applied to the next time I make it.  Tasted great and I have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.  Ate the odd two links after portioning out the sausage I prepared for weekday breakfasts.

Also some spicy jalapeno Good Crisps later.

Dinner:  Chuck roast w gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, strawberries and bananas, 24 oz Labatt Blue Light, vanilla cake w malted milk ball ice cream

Birthday party food.  All good, though the cake and ice cream was too much sugar.  Ugh, I don't like how I feel after that much.

Exercise:  Nothing specific, again an active day.  Way above average activity.
