Not That Joy

Day Twelve

No love from the scale this morning.  That's okay, it was again just the smallest blip up imaginable.  And since I was notably inactive yesterday, not a huge surprise.

Got to sleep early, slept decently, woke up at ... 4:15.  Geez.  Haven't done anything, but going back to sleep was just not in the cards.  Should get going shortly, I have lots of cooking and cleaning and laundrying to do.  It'll be a good day for it, the winter storm has arrived and I probably won't go anywhere at all.  I hate driving in winter.

For entertainment I looked up the carb counts of some various things.  I was curious about popcorn - it's something that looks like it would be doable on a day where I don't have many other carbs.   Also checked the tortillas that my local Mexican place uses -- looks like I was getting 80g carbs every Monday just from the torts.  So why was there a positive correlation with weight loss?  It's a mystery.  

Breakfast:  Meijer plain greek yogurt (7), wild blueberries (3), coffee (0)


All things being equal I prefer fewer carbs for breakfast.  But I have these things and I'm going to eat them.  Sporadically.  Anyway, half as many blueberries as last week.  Was ample.

Lunch:  3 egg omelet with veggie cream cheese and guacamole (6), CF sausage patties (0)


Cleaned up the cream cheese and the sausage patties.  A very tasty cleanup.  Had to watch the carbs on the omelet given how many I had at breakfast and since dinner is preplanned (and calculated).

Snack:  Barbacoa (0)


Had to sample the new batch.  Has some serious heat.  Ignoring that it might have a carb or so from spices.

Dinner:  Home cheesesteak bowl (11), 12 oz Miller Lite (3), Sugar free lime Jell-o (0)


Had a package of shaved steak in the freezer to use up.  Next time it's on sale I think I'm going to vacuum seal it, there was quite a layer of ice when I took it out.  I also wonder if it could be sous vide'd, it was a little on the chewy side.  Tomorow I'll be sure to melt the cheese when I eat the rest of it, that would have also been an improvement.  Not bad tho.

Exercise:  Nope.  Not going out, though it seems like it could be possible later.
