Day Six
Grateful for another weekend day, though I'm already wishing it was a three day weekend. I won't have one of those now until Memorial Day.
A little later than I wanted getting to sleep, but not too bad. Slept okay and dreamless until 5:30, very slight foot cramp got me up. Snoozed with much dreaming in the recliner until actual leg cramping got me moving at 8:00. Glad to get some extra sleep, I'm definitely feeling a little more recharged this morning. A nice drop on the scale. We're off to a good start.
Actually with the massive water dump I'm not that much above numbers from the last three months. Looking back a significant gain happened in September (I didn't look back further), but I'm only five pounds or so above early October. With more than three weeks left in the month I'm hoping to get past that and start tackling the September inflation, maybe get below that by the end of February. Gotta keep those expectations reasonable, so far it's just water weight.
Breakfast: 3 strips CF cherrywood bacon (0), coffee (0)
Figured out last night that I should watch the carbs carefully early, since I'll probably have a spoonful of mashed potatoes with Sunday dinner.
Lunch: Home Barbacoa (2) with avocado (2), mexicheese (1), sour cream (1) and salsa (2)
Like a Chipotle bowl with no rice, no beans and yes avo -- I usually decline to pay the upcharge for guac, so the avo is a bonus! Skipped the peppers and onions to save a couple carbs. Used a recipe from the internet to make the barbacoa yesterday - verdict is that it's quite good but doesn't quite nail Chipotle's version. Theirs has more zip than this did. But it's fine.
Dinner: Chuck roast (0) with gravy (5e), carrots (10e), mashed potatoes (20e), sugar free Jell-O (0e), 12 oz Miller Lite (3)
Sunday dinners. A very chuck-y day.
Exercise: Nope. Slept in, day of rest. Hoping to get back at it tomorrow morning.
Day totals: $0.00 spent, 46 estimated g carbs, semi-success
Probably over the limit but hard to calculate exactly since I didn't have dinner at home, no scale, etc. But no blowout so it's a semi-success. By Sunday standards it was very successful.
