That Is Not The Mix

Saturday, January 17, 2026

TGIS.  Not much planned other than a work day, which is fine.  Tomorrow will be for the usual chores, a project or two, and some rest.

Scale was flat this morning, another sign that what I ate yesterday is just not a winning formula.  If I look at it objectively, way too many carbs.  OJ, hash browns, potatoes in the soup, lazy breadsticks, wine, cookies, milk.  I think the sticks really pushed it over the top.  Thought there might be sugar in the sausage but it's minimal, 1g carb per patty.  Like I said yesterday, it may well be that I have to be really strict in order to get the metabolism reset I need.

Breakfast:  2 Meijer sausage patties, orange juice, coffee

Last of the OJ.  I have one more 11 oz bottle for next week then I may give it up.  Shouldn't be hard, I was never a big OJ drinker.

Lunch:  2 CF brisket cheddar smoked links w mustard, Jesse and Bens tallow fries w ketchup, Mejier hot kosher dill pickle

Oof.  I did not realize until I had them in the pan just how enormous these links are.  One would have been quite sufficient.  I am very full.

Dinner:  Home pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms, Stellar Organics blanc de blanc white wine

I was thrilled to find a can of mushrooms in the pantry.  The perfect addition.  I cut my dough ingredients in half and it worked out great - I did a better job of rolling it super thin and I got a nice plate-sized pizza for only 1/4C of flour.  Figured I had better eat less after the big lunch.

And the capper, the last of the chocolate chip cookies and whole milk.  Finished off both, after a dinner where I wiped out my shredded cheddar, pepperoni, mushroom and crushed red pepper supplies!

Exercise:  Nope.  Office day, so notably inactive.
