Sigh. I'm thrilled that it's Friday and I've already had a very productive morning, but it did not get off to the greatest start.
I am generally not bothered by short term scale fluctuations, but for some reason the spike this morning bugged me. I certainly did not feel like I did anything that warranted a two and a half pound jump. Too many carbs, sure. Should have just had soup. But come on. At least I know some of it will go once the system clears, but still. I was annoyed.
The takeaway, as always, is that I am probably going to have to be really strict about my diet for a while if I'm ever going to fix the metabolism. Oh, and of course be more active. Planning to get moving (haha) on that this weekend. We'll see if things unfold the way I envision.
In other news, today is the halfway point in my thirty day no spend on food challenge. It's about to get more challenging, as I am out of hash browns, beer and some other things.
Breakfast: Cabot seriously sharp cheddar, orange juice, coffee
Last of the Cabot slices, the next two weeks I'll be eating block cheese or whatever else I have left.
Lunch: 3 eggs over medium, hash browns in EVOO, 2 Meijer sausage patties
Nailed it. I have four eggs left, here is hoping I have enough returnables on Sunday to get both milk and eggs!
Dinner: Soup, lazy bagel parmesan breadsticks, Stellar Organics blanc de blanc white wine
I looked in the fridge yesterday and wtf I have three bottles of wine in there, unopened. I'd rather have beer, but I'll drink up what I have. The sticks were Crazy Bread inspired, though I didn't quite get there. A couple more minutes at low temp (and none at high temp), more butter, maybe more cheese. But that's a good thing about home cooking, even the semi-fails are often tasty.
And the capper, chocolate chip cookies and whole milk
Exercise: Nope. As mentioned, soon.
