Major Philospophical Questions

Friday, January 9, 2025

Whew.  Glad to be through the first full week of the year.  It wasn't too painful, but the last couple hours tested my will to work.

Not much of note.  Water loss has been completed, I think.  I need to compare to my last couple similar transitions and see (a) if I lost more or less water, and (b) how much actual weight I've gained.  The scale was down a reasonable amount this morning, but the drops are going to come much harder now.  BP numbers were okay, trend is good.  I did think I was notably bloated in the midsection and leaner in the limbs, but that's just going by feels.  Anyway, all good.  I did some minor stairs today and that went well.

I'm debating whether I want to allow myself to acquire food if no out of pocket money is spent.  For example, am I violating the rules (or spirit) of my challenge if I cash in $2.00 worth of returnables and buy a half gallon of milk (for <$2.00)?  I have not decided.  I'm already allowing myself to eat and drink "free" stuff at work and family events, so I'm not sure this is any different.  And since I only have a few dollars worth of returnables it's not like it's a major issue - it just might be nice to have milk for the last couple weeks of the month.  Haven't thought of anything else that I can't substitute reasonably well.

Breakfast:  Cabot seriously sharp cheddar, orange juice, coffee

Again.  No cacao butter today.

Lunch:  Leftover 1/3 lb oven cheeseburger with mustard, guacamole, Meijer hot kosher dill pickles

The fastest lunch imaginable.  I think I had 10 minutes from the minute I walked in to the time I left, thankfully the air fryer is fast.  4 minutes plus warmup.  Very tasty.  Added the guac as I was scrambling to come up with ways to add a few calories fast.  Was a great addition.

Dinner:  Home cracker crust pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms and cheddar cheese, 12 oz Miller Lite

Decided to mix it up.  Rather than opening a block of mozzarella decided to work on the open bag of cheddar.  This was really freaking good.  And by going easy on the cheese and pepperoni I'll be able to make another pizza or two soon - lots of sauce left too.

And the capper, windmill cookies and whole milk.  A very tasty day of eating,

Exercise:  Nope.
