Really glad that it is Saturday. It is also the last day of the month, one that was full of FAIL. It's only ~ 9:00 am when I'm starting this but I am already in a mood.
What's really getting me is wondering how I am ever supposed to plan on anything. I spent a fair amount of time yesterday thinking about getting out for a walk this morning. I was even looking forward to it - early Saturday mornings are quite peaceful and I don't like company. But then stupid shit happened.
After dinner last night I noted that my heart rate was elevated. Notably faster than normal. When I did my evening meds and took BP it was at 87, which is the highest number I've recorded in the two months plus that I've been doing it. Had a bit of a headache and just felt off. I went to bed not long after the usual time, got to sleep about 10:00 ... and woke up at 11:30. Pulse still high. Felt higher, actually than it was - it measured at 77 when I took it. After a couple hours of sitting in the recliner and doomscrolling I felt sufficiently better to go back to bed, but it was after 2:00 before I went back to sleep. Do you think there was any chance I was going to get up and walk? Of course not. Though I did wake up about 5:30. Ended up getting up after 7:00. Pulse this morning was higher than usual but still much lower than last night and at the bottom end of the standard range, so at least there is that. Can't say I feel great or even good but hopefully I can kick myself out the door in a while.
Aargh.
Breakfast: Breakfast tacos, coffee
Used up the last of my tortillas, 2 eggs, peppers and onions, cheese, hot sauce. Simple and delicious. Finished off my jar of picante sauce and sour cream last night, so it's been a good stretch of cleanup.
Also of note, excellent satiety.
Lunch: Taco salad, al pastor. Jack's Paleo Kitchen double chocolate cookies
Might be the last time for the salad for a while, too carby. Tastes good though. The cookies were an impluse buy from the clearance/short dated bakery rack. Tasty, but carby and I'd never pay full retail. 60% off made them enticing.
Dinner: Home pepperoni pizza, 12 oz Miller Lite, Breyers chocolate ice cream
Bought a different brand of pepperoni this week. Thick cut. Good as usual. Cleaned up last week's ice cream.
Exercise: Nope. As indicated above, FAIL.
