Hour Here Hour There

Off to a rather slow start today.  Got up at a good time, 5:30, but it took just over an hour to kick myself out the door.  After just over an hour walking, it took another just over an hour to get moving, to start getting cleaned up and on to the business of the day's chores.  I'm just happy I'm functional, since I stayed up too late watching a football game.  I knew it and I could have skipped the four quarter since the outcome was no longer in doubt, but I was fired up enough to not be sleepy.  We'll see how much of a price I pay for it.

Speaking of which, paid a miniscule price for overeating yesterday, that's good.  I mean, not good, but it could have been much worse.  I still need to fully reset the satiety signaling.

Came up with a theory this morning that I need to stop wearing New Balance shoes.  I have a pair that I've been using for walking and the callous on the bottom of my foot is starting to come back.  I didn't have issues when I was wearing my current work shoes, which are Sketchers, but I did with my previous shoes, which were New Balance.  I'm going to order a pair of Sketchers walking shoes -- too bad they don't make the max cushioning in my size though since they're a hundred bucks I might have been too cheap anyway -- to see if there really is a difference.  It would be nice to not have to treat another callous flareup.

Anyway, I have a really, really long list of stuff I need to do so I had better get moving.

Breakfast:  Coffee

Yup.

Lunch:  Buttermilk pancakes w butter and maple syrup, CF sausage links


Had a quart of good buttermilk to start using up and it makes a difference in the quality of the pancakes.  Very tasty.  Liked the sausage as well.  CF was still out of bulk, so I bought two packages of links - I'll use the rest of this package to make a mini echilada eggs for the fridge.

Also:  Masa chips and guacamole, Subway meatball sub, 12 oz All Day IPA

Dinner:  Brats MR, salad, Lays chips, a little ice cream w choc sauce


Sunday dinner.

Also:  Big Mac, Sprite.  Doh.

Exercise:  Walk, just over 3 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes.  Pedometer said 3.3 today (same route as last weekend) and 7100 steps.  It was never enjoyable and I never had an extra milligram of pep to up the pace from a trudge.  Tight achilles for most of it.  Just powered through and it's done.
