A thoroughly miserable morning outside. It's barely above freezing (which isn't a big deal, but ...), windy and raining sideways. It sounds like the worst of the snow will miss us over the next two days but wind gusts up to 50 mph and a bunch of slop are in the forecast. It doesn't look like I'll be spending any time outside.
I wasn't feeling particularly lean this morning but randomly decided to hop on the scale anyway and was very pleased to see a number come up that was 2 lbs lower than my previous low mark this year. I don't have to be perfect to keep losing, I just have to be better. Of course perfect would be better yet but I'm human and a pretty weak human at that. Still a long, long, long, long way to go.
Today will be a bit of a challenge - multiple holiday parties to attend. At least I think I can still have a regulation dinner.
Breakfast: Bowl of stew. This bowl contained ~ 1/3 lb of CF stew meat, 1/3 of a big organic russet potato, 1 medium carrot, a couple ribs of celery, 1/3 of a medium onion, a little parsley and some spices.

Terrible picture, caused by dining room table being covered with Christmas stuff |
Also: Coffee, 2 chocolate covered red waldorf cake balls. I made those last night and had to do quality control. I actually didn't have much desire to do so but since I don't have any other guinea pigs available I did it. I had one of each kind, 1 tiny 1 normal sized (I forgot to make a tiny one of the white chocolate kind so I had a broken one). They were good but sugar isn't doing much for me these days.
Lunch: 2 slices party rye toast w/ sausage and cheese topping, 1 celery stick with ranch, Jimmy John's sub of some kind (I think it was italian) and bag of potato chips.
Dinner: Taco salad, spicy pork. Medium hot sauce.
Same salad, picture taken by new phone |
Also: 1 glass riesling. This is one of the blandest wines I've ever encountered.
Exercise: Since it was so crummy out there I didn't walk outside, which meant no jogging intervals either. Maybe this weekend. I did go to Meijer and walked around as much as I dared while getting a couple things, the pedometer gave me a disappointing 2/3 of a mile, not even 15 minutes. Boo.
