Fun Delusions

Friday, December 14, 2012

Today is off to a good start.  I got a bit more sleep last night so I was not quite as sluggish this morning.  As an aside it's still 1000x better than it used to be but I was very poky yesterday.  Anyway I had some coffee, checked email and such and went off to get dressed for my walk.  I happened to look in the mirror at just the right angle ... and it actually looked like I had a waist.  Wut.  I mean, that would be fabulous ... but I'm miles away.  Just an optical delusion but it was enough to get me to hop on the scale and ... despite the fail, even the bobble yesterday, I'm still right about at my low!  I didn't even do the little things to get those last few ounces.  Happy.  Happy.  Happy.

I don't know that it was directly related, but I positively flew on my walk after that.  And it's even Friday!

Breakfast:  ~ 1.5 oz Armour novara hard salami, 1 small container Fage 2% plain yogurt, some frozen organic raspberries, coffee.

Didn't bother with the picture, it's not as if this is exciting and the nutrition is pretty easy to figure.

According to myfitnesspal, this comes out to 335 calories, 28g protein, 15g carb, though 8g are from the yogurt and there is a school of thought that they're handled by the cultures.  I also overestimated the raspberries, so this really should be set at 300 calories, more like 10g of carb.  An OK breakfast.

Lunch:  Italian beef sandwich, small fries.  Uh, yeah.

Snack:  2-3 oz Meijer peanuts

Dinner:  Taco salad, spicy pork.  No shell.  The old standby.

If they had Qdoba in this town I'd probably go there four times a week.  Just sayin.

Also:  1 glass riesling wine.  Getting there on this bottle.

Exercise:  Usual morning loop.  I must have cut the corners or something because it was closer to 1.1 miles than 1.2 miles.  Felt fantastic, moved faster.  Time was a shade under 20 minutes.  I could have jogged today.

Bonus exercise!  Since I grabbed takeout for lunch I applied some of my time savings to getting in a few holes at the golf course.  Ended up with just under 1.5 miles in about 35 minutes.   Woot.
