Not As Steep

Honestly I expected to pay big time for yesterday.  It was bad  I held on to all sorts of liquid and yet ... it wasn't that bad?  Significant but not historically bad or anything.  Anyway, limping along trying to get through the week.

Someday I will hold things together long enough to reset the connection between brain and stomach.  It's bad enough that the satiety signal usually takes a while to kick in, but some days -- like yesterday -- it never kicks in at all.  I have no idea how much more I could have eaten in an elusive search for satiety but I suspect it would be a lot.  It's frustrating.  I say I'm not ready to be done eating when I'm done eating -- if I hit satiety I would be done.  Aargh.

As a practical matter what that means is that I have to rely on force of will and, well, the fact that I'm as fat as I am tells you everything you need to know about how well that has ever gone.

Relatedly, I don't know that low carb is the answer for that particular problem.  I know that on low carb I can go quite a while without getting hungry, but that's really not the issue.  I don't have any problem going 16+ hours between meals and occasionally longer.  I'm not plagued by hunger, it's more that once I start eating that triggers the desire to eat until I feel full.  

Sigh.

Breakfast:  Coffee

Yup.

Lunch:  Soup, grilled cheese


Really hit the spot on a cold snowy day.  I really like the sourdough bread, might have to make myself learn how to do sourdough.

Dinner:  Deluxe pizza, 12 oz Miller Lite, Nicks mint chip

It's been a long week.
