Some Dietary Motivations

Thursday, June 10, 2021

It's been a mixed bag lately.   I'm pretty happy with how I've been able to eat all meals at home the last couple weeks, other than meals out I'm not paying for (with the execption to that of Saturday breakfasts which are planned and I'm OK with).  No drive thru breakfasts or lunches or pizza dinners.  I am planning a pizza this weekend -- intentional, not out of laziness.

Next week we start working on some better food choices.  I've gotten way too sloppy with the junk carbs.  If I eat good stuff - protein, decent fats, vegetables - the weight should drop off.  It just hasn't been the focus lately, I had to break some bad habits first.

Breakfast:  CF cajun jerky, coffee

Really pleased with how this is working as a satisfying breakfast.  It's easy (as long as I don't run out), portable and it doesn't take much to make appetite a non-issue all morning long.  Skipping would be better (imo) but this isn't bad.

Lunch:  Ham and cheese sandwich on a WM sub roll, Annie's cheddar bunnies, dill pickles

Same old, except I got these enormous (lol 260 calorie) sub rolls instead of hot dog buns.

Dinner:  Yellow rice and leftover rotisserie chicken, chips and salsa verde, 12 oz Yuengling (forgot to log 12 oz Miller Lite yesterday).  Will have a couple grape Outshine bars too.

Random stuff.  Cleaned up my supply of rice, chicken, chips and salsa.  Oh, and my last Yuengling. Not too much left from my trip to Walmart yesterday other than a bunch of sub rolls and a package of ham.

Exercise:  Nope.   Sluggish.
