It seems like I have to be resigned to needing nine hours of time in bed. I was reading back through the archives last night and the early days were full of notes of nights that I didn't get nearly as much sleep - four hours, six hours, seven hours. I was motivated, so I set an early alarm hoping to get by on seven hours last night and to take advantage of a great weather forecast to kickstart some walking. NOPE. Woke up with the alarm and felt awful, low oxygen headache. It took two more hours to feel vaguely functional.
So frustrating.
It may be that I'm going to have to wait before I can implement any kind of early morning walking plan - it's just not feasible to go to bed at 8:00 during the summer. The problem is that evening walks have their own set of problems - workday fatigue, other obligations, keeping me awake later, etc etc.
It may all be moot if I have additional leg/knee/ankle/foot issues. It wasn't real happy with me on multiple fronts over the weekend and it's definitely feeling stressed, so maybe it's not all bad that I couldn't walk this morning. But I am rather sick and tired of my traitorous body refusing to work with me when I have these flashes of motivation.
Speaking of motivation, I tried to do two hours of consecutive tasks last night as exercise ... didn't make it. Just shy of one hour before I sat down. It was a surprisingly good workout and I did get a few things accomplished so I am happy that I tried it.
Breakfast: 2 oz CF cajun jerky, coffee
New photo. A bit more than usual, I must have gone light yesterday.
Lunch: Home tacos with cheese, sour cream and salsa verde
Extra good today. I think today's taco meat was from a batch I divided into thirds instead of fourths, so it had more.
Snack: Mac's salt and vinegar pork rinds
Impulse buy at Walmart recently, they're pretty good. Had quite a few.
Dinner: Chef salad with ranch, 12 oz Miller Lite, Meijer strawberry fruit bar
Vegetation and lots of it. Pretty good.
Exercise: 9 holes with cart, not much walking
