In Which We Give Thanks For A New Month

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Let's be honest, February sucked.  And it's going to be crazy busy for the next who knows how long.  But let's see if I can at least eat at home a lot more.  Say no to fast food.  That sort of thing.

Breakfast:  English muffin, 2 Bob Evans sausage patties, 2 slices american cheese, coffee

Not the most inspiring photo, is it?

Last of the english muffins.  They do make breakfast easy to handle.  I bought some more of the sausage today -- it's a terrible value and contains things like MSG but it's very easy.

Lunch:  Chunky old fashioned vegetable beef soup, grilled ham and cheese sandwich

Picked up a little ham to add to the sandwich.  Still about
half a loaf of bread to go.
Also bought some more canned soup.  It turned out that I had time tonight to make soup, so we'll see how that turns out.  Nice to have backup and at 99 cents it's dirt cheap.  Now if it just didn't have those "ingredients".  Like sugar or corn syrup.  Come on.  It's SOUP.

Dinner:  Hamburger gravy on mashed potatoes, peas

Hey look, it's a green vegetable!
This was too much food, not to mention too much work.  Next time I'll just throw the cooked hamburger on there and call it good.  Maybe add some hot sauce.  No point in making gravy.

Exercise:  45 minutes shoulders and arms.  Worked HARD.

Not a total win today -- way too much starch, heavy on the dairy.  But it's a start.  Of something.
