It's going to take a few days to get used to writing 2016. I'm sure that happens every year to everyone, but that's definitely the case for me this morning. Anyway, I am super glad to still have a full weekend ahead after the holiday. Lots to do but also time to relax and recharge.
Breakfast: 2 eggs fried in a bit of butter, 5 strips Hormel jalapeno bacon, Alexia hash browns in butter, coffee. 630 calories.
Variety is not exactly my middle name. Then again, when it's good why change? |
Lunch: Turkey sandwich (Onion roll, butter, mustard, golden legacy turkey, slice cracker barrel sharp white cheddar), leftover vegetable noodle soup. 610 calories.
Yeah, I really need to work on my plating. What can I say, I was hungry. |
Snack: 6 original Triscuits. 120 calories.
Not photographed. Holiday leftovers. For the calorie hit I could have had a sleeve of kettle corn. Or maybe a couple pepperonis or something. Went Triscuits.
Dinner: Chicken soft tacos (4 Mission white corn tortillas, sous vide chicken seasoned with creole seasoning, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, hot sauce and salsa verde). 750 calories
It's a big bowl of stuff. |
Exercise: And now for something different ... an evening walk! 1.9 miles, 44 minutes. Stupid icy sidewalks. I had a reason to go out and decided to walk it, pretty happy with that decision it was nice enough if a bit windy. I talked myself out of going this morning and I only managed a third of a mile when I went and did a lap around the grocery store. Too busy.
Total Calories: 2,110. Right in the sweet spot between 2,000 and 2,400 (what can I say, I'm fat). I wasn't too hungry, though it did seem like a long time between meals. I assume that was more a factor of not having much to do, er, not doing much of anything than it was of being hungry.
