Review We Got Reviews

Monday, May 13, 2019

Despite eating way too many corn chips last night, clothes actually felt a bit looser this morning.  That was nice.  Not reflected on the scale, but regardless, it's a nice feeling.  It really isn't surprising that things have been kinda flat -- easy to see why, significant carbs every day for like six in a row.

Tried a new product (new to me) this afternoon, Trader Joe's seltzer water flavored with cranberry and lime juice.  Gets a solid thumbs up, nice flavor and still only 5 calories (3% juice).  I mean, it's still fizzy water with light flavoring, but I enjoyed it.  Valuewise it's not great, 4 pack for $2.99, so about twice the cost of LaCroix.  If I like the remaining 3 cans as much I'll probably stock up whenever I find my way back to TJ's.

And tonight, another new one.  Spindrift sparkling water, also with fruit juice.  This was grapefruit flavor, though it also had orange and lemon juice listed as ingredients.  10% juice, 17 calories, more carbs (either 4 or 5, I forget).  Also on the expensive side.  Tasted good, more like grapefruit than expected.

Breakfast:  ~ 2 oz Armour hard salami, coffee

Probably more like 2.5, sliced a little thicker this week and it seemed like I made more of a dent in the half pound I bought.

Lunch:  2 beef and cheddar sausage links, a couple ounces of smoked turkey, an ounce or so of tortilla chips with homemade salsa.

I didn't eat the spicy beans (or cheese), it just wasn't my best batch.  I think that batch was made in the slow cooker and just never came together.

Dinner:  4 ground beef tacos, mexican style, plus cheese and with hot sauce.

Good as usual.  Inhaled.  Inertia is working for me for once, because I don't want to get up off the couch I'm buying time for the fullness to kick in and hopefully override the desire to eat more.

Exercise:  Nope.

It's Over Already Oh Come On

Sunday, May 12, 2019

Sigh.  Another weekend in the books.  So quick.

Breakfast:  1 egg over medium, 1 beef and cheddar sausage link, Alexia hash browns in butter, 1 small avocado, coffee

Good stuff.

Lunch:  Cup of chili, a few chips and homemade salsa, smoked whitefish dip

Testing this morning's cooking projects and the last of yesterday's purchases.  I was kinda meh on the dip, which wasn't very diplike.

Dinner:  Thin cut sirloin cooked in a bit of avocado oil and ghee, mashed potatoes, asparagus with butter, 12 oz Miller Lite

Almost forgot to take the picture.  Had eaten half the steak and some asparagus.

Also:  Chips and homemade salsa

Exercise:  18 holes with cart, quite a bit of extra walking.

Poor Planning, Excess Food

Saturday, May 11, 2019

Ahh, the weekend.  I should work but it's probably not going to happen.

Due to some poor planning I now have more meals than I need for the next few days.  Oops.  I got a little carried away at the BBQ place, buying brisket, smoked turkey, sausage and a container of smoked whitefish dip.  I'm planning to use the brisket in a big pot of chili tomorrow which will end up in the freezer.  I can eat a bunch of the turkey with some spicy beans.  Hmm.  Oh well, it's a good problem to have.  And the stuff I bought at Trader Joe's can chill in the fridge for a while.

Today was not great bob on the food front, but whatever.  Few regrets.

Breakfast:  2 eggs over medium, 3 strips bacon, hash browns, raisin toast with a little homemade strawberry jelly, coffee

Out to eat before golf.  Tasty.

After golf:  12 oz Miller Lite

Snack:  McDouble, plain, no bun

I knew I wasn't going to make it, so I got your basic $2 snack.

"Lunch":  1 sausage link, 1 slice smoked turkey, 1 slice brisket

Had to taste.  Didn't get home until 6, so calling it lunch is not quite accurate.  Good stuff.

Dinner:  Homemade pepperoni pizza

Light on both pepperoni and cheese.  Added a little broiler time to the mix and got some nice char spots.  Delicious as always.

Exercise:  18 holes with cart, decent amount of extra walking.  Some full contact shopping.

Limpering

Friday, May 10, 2019

Limping into the weekend.  Not with a bang, with a whimper.  Limpering.

Unsurprisingly I had a hard time getting going this morning.  I was quite late.  No enthusiasm for work has been located.  I've mostly wasted the day and that will probably continue until 5.   All of these are reasons why I need to add regular exercise to the mix (plus, you know, lose a bunch of weight and sleep better), but nothing happens overnight.

Breakfast:  Coffee

I had nothing grab-and-go that immediately came to mind, so I went without.  Not a big deal and it's certainly possible that I was subliminally punishing myself for last night's blowup.

Lunch:  Omelet with bacon, sausage and ham, pepper jack cheese

Not a usual stop.  Good and not too expensive at $10 including a decent tip.  Of course I'd save money eating at home, goes without saying.

Dinner:  2 tacos mexican style plus cheese, 1 taco al pastor, mexican style plus cheese.  1 medium avocado.  6 strips thick cut bacon

Hit the grocery store, but by the time I got home I wasn't feeling like cooking.  It's a mixed blessing having a good taco place a block away.

Exercise:  Nope.

The Body Resistant

Thursday, May 9, 2019

The body just doesn't wanna today.  It was very difficult to get out of bed this morning -- the rain didn't help, I enjoy sleeping on rainy mornings.  My back is cranky.  My knees were very unhappy with my as I climbed one flight of stairs.  It's all working together to tell me that I should have stayed in bed.  And the scale wasn't friendly either.  Sigh.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, coffee

Cleanup, aisle zero.

Lunch:  2 Culvers double deluxe burgers, no buns

Thank goodness for coupons.  Somehow I appear to have forgotten to take a picture.  Not sure how.  Anyway, it was two double burgers in a bowl.

Dinner:  Domino's brooklyn style pepperoni ham jalapeno.  6 strips thick cut bacon.

Cracked.  Hard.  Put down that pizza and thought, you know, I could eat another one right now.  Just a bottomless pit.  It sure would be nice to, you know, NOT BE LIKE THAT.

Exercise:  Nope.

Word Mashup

Wednesday, May 8, 2019

There should be a word that's a mashup of Wednesday and weakly.  Fatigued this morning despite another late start.  If I don't start getting to sleep earlier (and sleeping better) starting a program of morning exercise is going to take a monumental exercise of willpower.

Which is not something for which I am known.

Weak.  Sad.  But at the same time I'm not going to berate myself too much for my limitations and instead just keep plugging along.  At least I've been through this enough to know that the bloat this morning is temporary.  I really needed to find better food options in time-crunched, non-solo meal scenarios.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, coffee

Stock photo, just because.  Cottage cheese is not glamorous.

Lunch:  Omelet with bacon, avocado and cream cheese, 2 sausage patties

The old favorite.  Haven't had it in a while.  Stilll good.

Dinner:  2 Arby's greek gyros, minus pitas.  Meijer chili lime pork rinds, Kozy Shack NSA rice pudding cup

I probably would have been sated from the gyros if I had just waited.  But I didn't, so I had the pork rinds.  Had the pudding later, didn't have one the other night.

Exercise:  Nope.  Tired.

Someday We'll Stop the Hunger

Tuesday, May 7, 2019

At least there were no leg cramps.  Progress.  Tired though, I really would benefit from some higher quality sleep.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, coffee

Lunch:  Leftover brisket chili (1/2 container), leftover brisket, 5 strips bacon

Cleaning out the fridge.  Ate a bit extra in the form of the bacon leftover from the weekend in anticipation of a late dinner.

Snack:  Meijer chili lime pork rinds

Not bad.  Flavor isn't overpowering, pretty subtle really.

Dinner:  16" ham salami and cheese grinder with LTM.

Inhaled.  I can still eat with the best of them.  And I'll pay the price.

Exercise:  9 holes with cart, little walking

Unbalance In Electrolytes Or Something

Monday, May 6, 2019

Ugh.  Serious leg and foot cramping, starting not that long after I went to sleep.  I think I had to get up three times.   Needless to say I am not rested and ready for the week.  I did a few minutes of cursory research and as expected there isn't much of an answer as to what causes the cramps nor is there an easy answer as to how to get rid of them.  Causes included dehydration, excessive exercise, standing on a concrete floor and "improper sitting" whatever the hell that is.  I'd prefer to avoid buying and taking supplements but I'm sure I would if I thought it would solve the problem.

Breakfast:  Fage 5% Yogurt, coffee

Grabbed the only portable thing that required zero time.  Being so tired and sleeping so poorly made me push it timewise.

Lunch:  Brisket chili, potato chips

The chili was glorious, really it's what I've been looking for.  I might try making a version that's half brisket and half chuck (or even ground beef) to keep the cost down a bit, but it's worth it.  Cleaned up last night's chips, it may be that they did not help with the legs.

Dinner:  4 ground beef tacos, mexican style, add cheese and hot sauce

Good as always.  Hungry, so I destroyed them.  Will probably have one of those NSA rice pudding cups too.

Exercise:  Nope.  Dragging.

Ingredient Spread

Sunday, May 5, 2019

Ahhh.  Good weekend so far.  Accomplished nil last night.  Have a bunch of weekly tasks queued up and hopefully some golf this afternoon.  In the meantime, I spread out all kinds of ingredients for a couple of morning cooking projects while waiting for my bacon to cook.  Happy times.

Breakfast:  4 strips Oscar Meyer "thick cut" bacon, coffee

I guess it's thick cut in a sense that it didn't disintegrate when I cooked it, but it's not thick like the Wright stuff.  Still, is bacon.  And I have five slices left for breakfasts!

Lunch:  2 smoked beef and cheddar sausage links, a cup of homemade brisket chili

The chili was this morning's cooking project.  I saved a chunk from the smoked brisket I bought yesterday for one more meal and diced up the rest to put into the chili.  In hindsight I should have just used it all since I dunno when I'm going to eat that chunk - forgot about some things on the calendar this week.

Bonus photos:

No beans or corn in that chili thanks.

Dinner:  Chuck roast with a bit of mashed potato, a couple of carrots, gravy

Pretty good roast.  Trying to be polite by taking a little of other stuff, I could just skip it I guess.

Also:  Chips and onion dip.

Almost made it.  Doh.

Exercise:  18 holes with cart, LOTS of extra walking.  Had some cart issues which meant I walked a lot.  Wish I'd had my pedometer.

The Difference of Pounds

Saturday, May 4, 2019

Happy Saturday.  Not going to be too full of accomplishments as most of the day has already been consumed by golf, but maybe I'll zip through some laundry and stuff.  I did get a lot of cleaning done last weekend so at least I'm in pretty good shape there.

Speaking of pretty good shape, losing a few pounds definitely provided a bit of a boost to my struggling golf game.  And it was just more pleasant being out there when I have some pep.  Not even super tired afterward, just a small bit of heel pain as the only negative.  Good times.

Breakfast:  ~ 2 oz Armour hard salami, coffee

Cleaned up the last of the salami, pleased to get 4 servings out of 0.38 pound.  And it was all I really needed - I didn't have any trouble staying away from the hot dogs and snacks at the golf course.

After golf:  12 oz Miller Lite

"Lunch":  A piece of smoked brisket, 2 beef and cheddar smoked sausages

Stopped at a barbecue place on the way home and picked up some supplies.  Sampled it when I got home -- can you really call it lunch if you eat between 4 and 4:30? - and YUM.  So good I had a 2nd sausage.  I got a (generous) pound of each and have 2 sausages and lots of brisket left for the next couple days.  First time I've been to this place and I immediately wish it was closer.

Dinner:  Pizza with pepperoni and jalapeno

I'm sure there will be weeks when I don't have pizza.  This was not one of them.

Homemade pie, baking steel 72 hour pizza dough crust, organic jar sauce kicked up with some garlic and crushed red pepper, italian seasoning, pepperoni, mozz/provolone blend and a jalapeno.  Nice and spicy, turned out great.  And you know what?  It was easy.  Waiting was the hardest part.

Exercise:  18 holes with cart.  Not a ton of extra walking,  Will be working on that.

The Joys of Cooking For One

Friday, May 3, 2019

Another week in the books.  Not quite as wiped out as I have been recently, though I do hope to work on the sleep schedule some this weekend.

Breakfast:  ~ 2 oz salami, coffee (later)

Pretty standard stuff, as a quick breakfast it works.

Lunch:  McDonald's double QPC, plain, no bun.

Lost a lot of cheese to the bun but oh well.  Not super hungry at any point today which was nice.  I prefer Culvers and Wendys but hey, I had a coupon.

Dinner:  Taco Salad

Same as last night, just with less lettuce, more beef and way more beans.  Too much, actually, as I couldn't finish it.  I think it really would work out better to divide the stuff into three meals, I just don't know how well I can lock myself into three nights in a row.  The joys of solo cooking.

I bought a package of the NSA rice pudding cups I used to like last week, maybe I'll have one of those later.

Exercise:  Nope

Cue. Cue'd.

Thursday, May 2, 2019

The sleep schedule very much needs adjustment.  Up too late, making for a serious urge to sleep in and repeated whacking of the snooze button.  It's not good.

Breakfast:  ~ 2 oz Armour hard salami, coffee (later)

I don't think either of my servings has been 2 oz since I bought 0.38lb and I'm not yet halfway through but whatever.

Lunch:  Smoked brisket, spicy texas chili, a bite of a corn cake.

Decided to hit up a not-too-local BBQ place for lunch.  Plate comes with one side and I was pleased that the chili was an option - sure it had corn and a few beans but plenty of meat and nice heat.  Most places just offer starches.  I took a bite of the corn cake for posterity, too sweet for my taste.  I didn't use any of the BBQ sauce, figured it would be loaded with sugar and the meat didn't need it.  It was not dry at all (like brisket can be), flavorful and nice and fatty.  Value wasn't stellar but the more I think about it I'm ok -- $10 for a decent quantity of meat and a cup of chili isn't outrageous.

Dinner:  Taco Salad

My take on the infamous (and much missed) taco salad.  I haven't conjured up a recipe for spicy pork yet so it's just CF ground beef with homemade taco seasoning.  Lettuce, cilantro, onion, a couple T of spicy pinto beans, cheddar jack cheese (since I didn't have any mexican cheese), avocado, salsa and hot sauce.

Verdict:  Very tasty.  The beans and cilantro and onion (which in the past I wouldn't have bothered with) definitely make a difference.  I'll be having this again tomorrow night and I think this weekend I'm going to try making red sauce.

Exercise:  Nope.  To get going I may have to do evenings.  Yikes.

Resistance To Cooking Is Real

Wednesday, May 1, 2019

Hey, how about that.  A new month.

It's absolutely crazy that I've only been working on this for ten days, it feels like eons.  Maybe someday soon it will be actual eons.  Anyway, the last couple days I've been indecisive on lunch and dinner.  I managed to make myself eat stuff at home today for both meals, which is a good thing.  But if there were more really good options I probably wouldn't have.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, coffee (later)

Cleaned up another carton.  Still an OK breakfast.

Lunch:  Spicy beans with bacon, cheddar jack cheese, ~ 2 oz Armour hard salami

Glad I had the salami, was a little worried about whether this was going to be enough.  Turns out I was pleasantly sated and it kept me going all afternoon.  I made a point of having more water at work too.

Dinner:  2 eggs scrambled with Spam, 1 large avocado.  Also, one small carton of Two Good mixed berry yogurt.

I ate about half of it.   I don't think this will be a meal I'll be repeating any time soon.  I picked up the yogurt last week mostly due to a coupon.  Didn't love it, apparently even stevia tastes artificial to me.  Then again I was seriously considering looking for a bottle of Orange Vanilla Coke Zero Sugar just to try it so I guess I'm just weird.

Tired, You Can Book It

Tuesday, April 30, 2019

Quite tired today.  My own fault, I stayed up way too late.  Read two books last evening which meant I crashed finally about 1:30.  Ugggh.  Why do I do stupid things.

Just now realized that it's the last day of the month.  Guess I should have been more motivated to eat better today.  Oops.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese.  Coffee (later).

No picture today.  Same as yesterday.

Lumch:  Jimmy Johns Gargantuan unwich, add pickles and peppers

While this wasn't bad, I probably won't get it again soon.  Kinda messy, not the easiest thing to eat and I wasn't super impressed with how it stuck.  Oh, and it was expensive, too.

Dinner:  2 Arby's greek gyros minus the pitas, pork rinds

I was very hungry when I left work and was worried that I wouldn't have anything satisfying at home, so I went to Arbys.  It only hit me as I was getting ready to eat that the real issue was that I was dehydrated.  Didn't have much water today, only a few oz.  I usually have at least 20 during the day.  Two big glasses later I felt much more in control.

I still ate way too many pork rinds.  Doh.

Exercise:  Nope.  Another miserable day, plus tired.  So tired.

No Sir I Would Not Choose That Sanction

Monday, April 29, 2019

I expected to see a consequence on the scale for the weekend, particularly last night's chip and dip binge.  And I did, though I highly suspect the penalty will be temporary and just retained water.

On the other hand I did not expect to wake up multiple times with nasty leg cramps.  I've had on and off bouts of those over the last fifteen years but it had been a while and I certainly hadn't had any this ferocious in a long time.  I've read a fair amount about them and while there is a bunch of folk 'wisdom' out there it doesn't really seem that there is a lot of settled science.  I have been avoiding wine for quite a while after seeing a link between nights I had some and cramps but apparently it's not just sulfites.

Anyway, let's hope that doesn't repeat, it's hard to sleep!  I know I grumble a little about having to get up to go to the bathroom but apparently I shouldn't.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, coffee (later)

Quick and easy, which is important when you've got early business.  I did take the fifteen seconds required to take a photo ... just not the time to make sure it was a *good* photo.

Lunch:  Wendy's Dave's double, plain, no bun

Wasn't feeling super decisive, went with easy.  Lost a bunch of the cheese to the bun of course.

Dinner:  4 mexican style tacos plus cheese and hot sauce.  Also a handful of potato chips to clean up last night's binge

Really good tacos tonight.  Looked forward to them all afternoon, too.

Exercise:  Nope.  Multiple factors working against me today.  The cramps killed any hope of a good night's sleep.  The early work obligation meant I had to be out the door earlier than usual.  And it's raining.  Yuck.  Too bad, really, because I was definitely thinking a lot about how good walking is for me over the weekend.  The weather forecast for the week is pretty dismal, too.

Sunday Workday

Sunday, April 28, 2019

Thinking positive last night, somehow despite eating like a maniac for much of the last four months I'm not any heavier than I was a the start of the year.  Of course I was tremendously bloated at the start of the year, but at least anything gained subsequently was in the form of water and could be flushed.

Read back through some of the older archives and it was really interesting to me to remember how easy it was to eat the same thing nearly every day once I found things I really like.  I can't duplicate what I did -- the mexican place is long gone and my work has changed enough that I don't consistently have time for a sit down lunch.

Breakfast:  3 strips thick cut bacon, coffee

Count worked out perfectly, easy peasy too.

Lunch:  Spicy bacon beans with a couple ounces of leftover ribeye, cheddar jack cheese

Very tasty.  In hindsight I should have added all of the leftover steak.

Dinner:  A small portion of american ghoulash, extra ground beef, parmesan cheese, iceberg salad

Not too bad, but...

Snacks:  Cleaned up the pork rinds.  Also chips and onion dip after dinner.

Seriously?  I just needed to eat more protein and fat at dinner.

Exercise:  Nope.  Active but not super active and nothing that fits.

Ahhhh with Many Repeats of H

Saturday, April 27, 2019

Yes indeed.  Grateful for the weekend and fine that it's on the chilly side - I'd like to play golf but I could really use the day to just do stuff.  Off to a fine start so far, hit Meijer and the farm.

I do think that pizza night on weeks that I make it at home -- hopefully most -- is going to move from the traditional Friday to Saturday.  I just don't like waiting and it takes a while to do it right.

Breakfast:  3 strips thick cut bacon, coffee

Baked up the rest of the bacon package I opened yesterday since it was past its "expiration" date, figure I'll use a couple slices for lunch and eat the rest tomorrow.

Lunch:  Homemade pizza with pepperoni and bacon

So good.  72 hour dough from the freezer that I made a while ago, sauce kicked up with garlic and red pepper, a sprinkle of parmesan, pepperoni, 2 slices of bacon and mozz/provolone blend.  About a zillion calories and many carbs but don't care.  Not that much anyway.

Dinner:  ~ 7 oz of a CF ribeye, cooked sous vide and finished in a bit of avocado oil, a few sauteed mushrooms and a tiny onion (butter, evoo and a splash of worciester sauce at the end).  A little Kumho avocado sauce.

Despite the photo -- this was really, really good.  I got a nice thick ribeye, just over a pound.  I'll have some left for tomorrow and Monday's lunches.  Picked up the sauce at the store and tried a little bit with a few bites of steak, pretty tasty. Will try it with a homemade taco salad soon.

Exercise:  Nope.  Actually getting close to feeling ready, which is nice.  Now if I can just get a good night's sleep and feel good in the morning.

Fried Day

Friday, April 26, 2019

Thank goodness for the end of the week.  A chance to rest, recharge and restock.  Which is pathetic since I didn't work particularly hard or anything.  No major stress.  Just a dietary change.  Weak.

Breakfast:  Coffee

A bit of a late start so I didn't scrounge anything up to eat.  I definitely need to have quick things on hand because I have zero patience in the morning, I want to get out the door.

Lunch:  Taco salad, no shell.  Extra sour cream, a little salsa.

From a local dive.  Not a bad salad, did have beans but no rice.

Snack:  Yoder's pork rinds

Occasionally these sound good.

Dinner:  2 eggs in butter, 5 strips thick applewood bacon, some Alexia hash browns in butter

The GOAT, though this wasn't my best effort.  Went very easy on the hash browns which resulted in them being quite crispy.  Oh well, still good.

Exercise:  Nope.

De-Gallonizing

Thursday, April 25, 2019

The water continues to depart.  It would be nice though if not so much of it left at 5 am.

After feeling a bit of a burst at the end of day 2 and into day 3 I'm back closer to normal.  Not much energy, bouts of fatigue.  Still a marked improvement though.  I was in bed for extra time last night but don't think I got much quality sleep.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, coffee (later)

The end of the carton.  I don't always love the stuff but there are times when I do.

Lunch:  2 Culvers double deluxes, no bun

Thank goodness for coupons.  My lunch cost a couple bucks less than my coworker who just got one burger and fries.

Dinner:  3 eggs with kielbasa and lots of cheddar jack cheese

Cleaned up the kielbasa.  This was edible.  I also threw in a bit of dehydrated onion.

Exercise:  Nope.  Not yet.

Steadyish State

Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Last night's dinner provided a nice stable level of energy well into the evening.  No post-dinner crash.  Felt pretty decent.  The downside was I did not get to bed until after 11:00 which will screw up my schedule for the rest of the week.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, coffee (later)

Lunch:  Qdoba brisket bowl, same as last time

My usual location.  They have started charging for guacamole so the cost spiked.  Sigh.

Dinner:  Kielbasa with yellow mustard, some mushrooms sauteed in butter, chicken bone broth (later)

That was too much kielbasa.  And I have some left for tonight.  The mushrooms were meh, probably needed to be cooked longer.  Oh well, that's what happens when you cobble together a meal based on whatever happens to be handy.

Exercise:  Nope.

Day Two Less Flu

Tuesday, April 23, 2019

Awful night of sleep.  Went to bed early, didn't fall asleep super quick.  And then I woke up constantly from 3:00 on.  Light headache, never super comfortable.  At least I cleared out much water.

On the positive side I have definitely felt better today.  Not great or anything, but better.  More food plus some coffee plus some of the bad stuff getting flushed is working.  Sugar is evil.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese

I didn't measure or anything.  Had probably a third of a 2 cup container of Daisy.  I bought it because it was on sale and I'm glad I did.

Lunch:  McDouble, plain, no bun, coffee

Late morning stop for coffee, had some food too.  There isn't a ton of beef to a McDouble, but it is easy to eat - with one slice of cheese between the patties it doesn't stick to the bun.

Late Lunch:  Wendy's double, plain, no bun.  Also had a cup of coffee at work.

Decided to make sure I'm eating enough.  I think it was a good idea.

Dinner:  2 eggs, 7 oz Spam, 1 large avocado, can of Alta Palla sparking water

Spam scramble.  Small can, not the big honking one but this was a shade on the side of too much.  It wasn't bad.  And I continue to feel notably better here late in the day.  This is a good thing.

Exercise:  Nope.  Though it is nice to at least be able contemplate the possibility.

This Would Be An Ease In But

Monday, April 22, 2019

Yeesh.  I haven't had the keto flu much in previous trips to the low carb world.  Today I feel like 100% garbage, which I blame on having relapsed into drinking soda and also not having had any coffee today.  No sugar and no caffeine equals yikes.

Breakfast:  Chicken bone broth

I have a couple of boxes of Sams Choice organic so that's what I'll be consuming.  I think the lower salt version is actually better.

Lunch:  Qdoba brisket bowl

First in a while.  Went pintos, brisket, cheese, sour cream, hot salsa, guacamole and jalapeno.  Pretty skimpy but it wasn't my usual location.  I should have sprung for extra meat though the price was already higher than it used to be.

Dinner:  4 mexican style tacos, add cheese.  Hot sauce.

Better than average.  Price also went up on these but oh well.  Felt better after eating them (yeah carbs) and actually got a few things done.

Exercise:  Nope.  Not a chance on day 1.

About ****ing Time

Sunday, April 21, 2019

Happy Easter.

It's time.  Really time.  Vacation season is over.  The corresponding crush of work season is done. I'm so fat it's interfering with my golf game.  It's ****ing time.

Tomorrow.

Because nobody starts on a holiday.  At least nobody with any sense.
