Happy Saturday. Not going to be too full of accomplishments as most of the day has already been consumed by golf, but maybe I'll zip through some laundry and stuff. I did get a lot of cleaning done last weekend so at least I'm in pretty good shape there.
Speaking of pretty good shape, losing a few pounds definitely provided a bit of a boost to my struggling golf game. And it was just more pleasant being out there when I have some pep. Not even super tired afterward, just a small bit of heel pain as the only negative. Good times.
Breakfast: ~ 2 oz Armour hard salami, coffee
Cleaned up the last of the salami, pleased to get 4 servings out of 0.38 pound. And it was all I really needed - I didn't have any trouble staying away from the hot dogs and snacks at the golf course.
After golf: 12 oz Miller Lite
"Lunch": A piece of smoked brisket, 2 beef and cheddar smoked sausages
Stopped at a barbecue place on the way home and picked up some supplies. Sampled it when I got home -- can you really call it lunch if you eat between 4 and 4:30? - and YUM. So good I had a 2nd sausage. I got a (generous) pound of each and have 2 sausages and lots of brisket left for the next couple days. First time I've been to this place and I immediately wish it was closer.
Dinner: Pizza with pepperoni and jalapeno
I'm sure there will be weeks when I don't have pizza. This was not one of them.
Homemade pie, baking steel 72 hour pizza dough crust, organic jar sauce kicked up with some garlic and crushed red pepper, italian seasoning, pepperoni, mozz/provolone blend and a jalapeno. Nice and spicy, turned out great. And you know what? It was easy. Waiting was the hardest part.
Exercise: 18 holes with cart. Not a ton of extra walking, Will be working on that.
