I am not fond of April Fool's Day. Maybe it's because I'm not 12. Or maybe because I'm a fool every day of the year. Or maybe it's something else entirely. Regardless, it's not a day I enjoy.
Today is also the first day of a new month and hopefully a fresh start. March wasn't good. I have been building toward a reset and I woke up this morning in the right frame of mind. I spent a little time last night cleaning out the fridge and getting some things set. Turns out I'm short in the on-hand protein department, at least for ground beef, but I think I can get through with other options.
So here is the deal. It counts as a good day if I do the following: Eat at home (*), spend no unnecessary money on food (or in general), don't have more than one notably carby meal, get at least 20 minutes of exercise (even low level counts). The asterisk for eat at home means that it's okay if I eat out/elsewhere if invited, that will mostly be Saturday pre-golf, Tuesday night sandwiches post-golf and Sunday dinner. Just no solo fast food, pizza, etc.
Let's see how many days I can succeed in April.
Breakfast: 3 slices Sargento natural american cheese. Coffee
Almost finished with this package. Which is a good thing. I have considered eating less dairy.
Lunch: Taco meat, bone broth basmati rice, guacamole
Basic slop bowl.
Dinner: Soup, 12 oz Yuengling, cheese popcorn
Decided that if I can make myself fix a batch that soup would be an idea regular meal.
Exercise: Nope. Probably a little ambitious to think I'd do it on day one.
127.0
Successful Plan Days in April: 1 (giving myself a pass for the lack of exercise but not for long)
