Good grief. As soon as I make the slightest step toward dietary sanity, my body says okay time to release all of the water. It doesn't even have to be low carb! Just somewhat sane and boom, there it goes. Usually only lasts a couple days, but good lawd does it require a lot of trips to the head.
Anyway, a decent day yesterday (other than work which was not as productive as it needed to be). I was tired and went to bed at a reasonable hour, had to get up this morning but easily could have slept a couple hours longer. Getting off the excess calories and sugar and caffeine definitely changes how I feel. But it's worth it to lose a bit of the bloat. Things won't be real consistent since I'm on vacation in 10 days, and I have some meal plans for Friday and Saturday, but I'll get in a little practice so I can really focus when I'm back.
I spent a while last night paging back through this year and man, my eating has been bad. No wonder I've mostly been stuck in this (high) range. I should do better.
Breakfast: Coffee
Yup.
Lunch: Soup, mash, 2 oz Cabot extra sharp cheddar
Better soup/mash balance today, was a little short on mash yesterday. Also think I was a bit over on cheese, but since I'll eat the 8 oz block over 4 days it doesn't matter.
Dinner: 3 eggs over medium, hash browns in butter/EVOO, 3 Meijer sausage patties, guac, 12 oz All Day IPA
I have no idea what I did at lunch to successfully take and keep a photo in landscape, but whatever. |
Also better than yesterday. The mini guac was a nice add (and good to use up since it was a week out of date), I am quite full as that was a lot of food. Don't get me wrong, my mouth and brain would like to snack on something but it ain't happening. Maybe I can dial quantities back a bit.
Exercise: Nope.
