Hiking Downtown But Not Today

TGIS.  Off to a fairly pleasant start.  Okay, I didn't truly NEED to wake up at 4:30, but my body is going to do what it is going to do and despite my not even setting an alarm in hopes of getting extra rest it said NOPE.  Oh well.  I had a lazy start, coffee, made a grocery list and hit the store since the Y doesn't open until 7:00 on the weekend.   Got my exercise in, had breakfast and now it's time to do the chores.

Breakfast:  Pancakes w butter and maple syrup, 3 CF sausage patties, V-8, coffee


Until otherwise stated all references to V-8 will be low sodium spicy V-8.  Pancakes will always mean homemade buttermilk pancakes.  All was good.

Lunch:  Soup, mashed potatoes


I got a little carried away with the potatoes.  Still have a decent number left in my 5 lb bag too, it's weird, I used at least two pounds at Thanksgiving!  Anyway, ate up a soup that I didn't get to yesterday.

Also:  Salt and vinegar chips.  Doh.

Dinner:  Home pep pizza, 24 oz Miller Lite, SF butterscotch pudding.


Saturday night fare.  Back to the smaller dough balls, was excellent.

Exercise:  Yes.  Total of 30 minutes.  15 on the treadmill, where I kicked it up to my fastest speed yet, 3.5 mph, for the last several minutes.  My balance is getting better but I will never love treadmilling.  After that I walked over to the weight room and did various things - walked a few laps, spent a few minutes on a bike, did some stretching with a med ball.  No lifting today, need to make a plan.  I could have done legs but decided to stick with 'cardio'.
