Weekends are just way too short.  This one just flew by.  Didn't get in the time at the office I needed.  Tomorrow as a result is going to suck.

Breakfast:  Lazy bagels with veggie cream cheese, coffee.  Later, 3 strips bacon.

Yup.  I think I've got stuff for one more batch.

Lunch:  McD Big Mac, QPC, McChicken

Sigh.

Dinner:  Cheeseburger, chips, 16 oz Mich Ultra

Out.

Fourthmeal:  Pork fried rice, banana split flurry

Oof.

Exercise:  9 holes with cart, good extra walking.  At least I got some exercise.

Early start this morning, got up about 4:30 and was unable to doze back off.  Not super productive but I did get a couple things done.

Breakfast:  Standard pre-golf breakfast out, coffee

It was good.  And very standard.

Lunch:  Bloody mary

The golf wasn't going so well.

Dinner:  Soup, chips and onion dip, 12 oz All Day IPA

And later, some apple strudel bites.  I didn't buy a lot of junk at the store this afternoon, but I did buy these.  Also jalapeno cheddar popcorn.  Just too much eating!

Exercise:  18 holes with cart, moderate extra walking.  Also got in a few thousand steps running errands and grocery shopping.

I don't think I'll ever understand human biology.  I didn't have as much liquid as usual yesterday.  I had plenty of water-retaining carbs.  And yet overnight I lost a ton of liquid.  To the point of being annoying.  Good, but annoying.

Yup.  Today is testing my will when it comes to only having one cup of regular coffee before switching to decaf.

Sounded good, was good.  Will also eat the crusts of my loaf of bread for the week with peanut butter.

Dinner:  Meatloaf, real mashed potatoes, peas, NSA peaches, 12 oz Miller Lite


Also, 2x TB chipotle chix burritos, cinnamon twists, end of home bread w butter.  Will be very fat come morning.

Exercise:  Nope.  Active but no exercise.

Sleep is getting kinda ridiculous.  All week I have been dozing off in the recliner -- last night it was at 9:00 -- and then when I get up and get ready for bed I cannot get to sleep.  The brain just spins various work subjects and I cannot get it shut down.  Frustrating.

Had to audible as I didn't have enough time for the usual breakfast out.

Off to a very slow and sluggish start.  The fixing of things this week definitely needs to involve not eating so darned much in the evenings.  It's messing with my sleep, over and above how work is messing with my sleep.  Sheesh.

Not quite sure how I'm going to juggle office time and laundry and cleaning and everything else today.  So much more to do than I have time to do it.

Breakfast:  Donut holes, coffee

Can you really call that breakfast?   I don't think so.  Going to eat some leftover pizza so that I have some actual food to go with it.

Lunch:  Pork fried rice


Same place as last week, this time I just got what I had planned to get last week.  I didn't see it on the menu, but that's because I didn't have my reading glasses lol.  Way too much fried rice but pretty good.

Dinner:  Broiled chicken breast, stove top stuffing, green beans w cheddar cheese sauce, SF lime jello w pineapple and walnuts, 12 oz Mich Ultra, no bake cookies

A little lighter on the Sunday dinner this week.

Exercise:  Nope.  On a positive note I finally was able to remove some tissue from the callus this morning, it's not close to gone but it's a little better.  Good thing.

What a week.  I am completely drained.  It was go time 100% of the time and I still lost tremendous ground.  Thankfully next week's schedule isn't as packed.  It will be super busy but not as deadline intensive.

Tasty.  About a six minute lunch break.

Exercise:  Nope.  Had an interesting pain, after this morning's stuff the back of my left leg behind the knee got super stiff and painful.  I limped around for much of the afternoon.  Seems to be getting better at least.

This is ridiculous.  I couldn't get to sleep last night due to thinking about work.  Finally managed it, then woke up at 3:30 and due to thinking about work I did not get any more sleep of any consequence, though I did avoid getting up until about 7:00.  I should have just gotten up and gone in, today might have been less of a race against the clock if I had.  Tomorrow is going to be more of the same I'm afraid.  But at least it'll be Friday.

Ate in about six minutes flat.

Happy Easter.  Starting the day off right with a cup of coffee and swearing at the nonsense on my local TV news.  Going to have to ask for forgiveness because I got pretty angried up.

Pleased that getting a little exercise yesterday helped, now I need to keep it up and also fix the eating, which won't happen before tomorrow.

Lunch:  Chinese takeout - hot and spicy chicken on pork fried rice, egg roll, fortune cookies, crab rangoon.  A few stray chips leftover from yesterday.  Small home shake later.

Answering Sleep

Answering all these sleep questions on medical paperwork makes me think ... about sleep.  About how lately I'd just like to go to bed early and then get up whenever I'm ready.  It would sure be nice to have a consistent routine, but I'm not sure even that will get me to a place where I always feel rested in the morning.  Even usually might be a bridge too far.

Anyway, too much starch and sugar yesterday.  Will do a bit better today I think.

Breakfast:  Home bread w butter, coffee

Skipped the jam this morning.  Probably should have just skipped it entirely, I think it made me hungry by mid-morning.

Lunch:  2 eggs scrambled w fajita veg and guac, hash browns in olive oil, 3 strips CF bacon

Cleaned up the eggs and hash browns so less than usual.  Added guac.  All in all quite satisfactory.

Dinner:  Freddy's patty melt, followed a while later by Dominos brooklyn pep saus, ice cream

Discouraging medical news sapped my enthusiasm to do anything.

Extra Lucid For Sure

Huh.  That was interesting.   I crawled back in bed after being up for a while to warm up and maybe get some extra sleep.  Which I did, and I had a particularly lucid dream in which I was most definitely actively participating.  Tied up a number of current stressors.  Way too realistic.  Yikes.  Maybe I should have just stayed up!

Anyway, it was nice to get rid of a bunch of water.  Good drop despite having hash browns for lunch and dessert.  Makes me optimistic that I can do this poverty diet thing.

Breakfast:   Brownies, coffee


Very late breakfast.  Didn't want to fix anything, so yeah, baked good.

Lunch:  3 eggs scrambled, hash browns in olive oil, fire roasted peppers and onion, 4 strips CF apple smoked bacon


The veg was a new addition, found a kind at Meijer that looked good and they worked wonderfully.  Easy prep, just five minutes on the stovetop in a little olive oil.

Dinner:  Chuck roast w/ LC gravy, carrots, a little mashed kohlrabi, 12 oz Mich Ultra, a little Nicks mint chip, home bread w butter later


The kohlrabi was an experiment, meh.  It was okay.  Won't make again.  Was very pleased with the gravy, best I've done so far experimenting with thickening using xanthan gum.  

Ate the heel of this week's loaf when I got home since I had to slice it.  It's better when it has more time in the fridge, at least a week is ideal before baking.

Exercise:  Nope.  Not super active today either.

Okay, let's try this again.  I don't have any expectations of immediate drops, but I do have some hopes of improvement.  Going to radically cut the food budget, which is going to curtail eating out other than taco monday.  I hope, anyway.  Lots of soup and eggs.  Some cleaner treats, still going to try and get away from the seed oils, HFCS and other processed crap.  Will probably gradually become more LC as I eat down what I have on hand junk-wise.  Let's go.  March sucked.

Update:  Pretty successful grocery run, kept it under $40.00.  Of course I didn't get much for what I spent, but I have enough stuff on hand that I didn't need much.  Next week will be harder, since I'll need to get stuff to make soup and I'll want to hit the farm to restock a couple things if I can.  We'll see. 

Breakfast:  Coffee

Yup.  

Lunch:  3 eggs scrambled, hash browns in olive oil, 2 sausage patties


Solid.

Dinner:   Soup, brownie with vanilla ice cream


Made the other half of the premade brownie mix I put together a couple weeks ago, since I had the requisite eggs and butter on hand (and because I ended up not taking it on vacation - I did take premade pancake mix which worked great).


Exercise:  Nope.  Somewhat active but not really.
