Fail of a Different Sort, Kinda

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Embarrassing admission time.  I came home at lunch, ready to fix bacon and eggs.  Got home and realized that I would either have to park on the street (dangerous) or move my trash cans.  I couldn't make myself do either and went out to lunch.  FML.

Breakfast:  2 slices sharp cheddar, coffee  (185 calories).  Standard.

Lunch:  3 eggs scrambled with bacon, onion, green pepper and jalapeno, salsa, 2 slices sourdough toast with butter (800 calories)

Pretty solid, but won't overtake my favorite lunchfast
Breaklunch, lunchfast, whatever you want to call it.  Breakfast, it's still what's for lunch.

Dinner:  Homemade beef soft corn tacos (750 calories)

I got a little carried away with the lettuce.
Same story, just with beef this time.  1/3 of a pound of CF ground beef made into taco meat with a homemade all-spice blend.  Lettuce, tomato, hot sauce, sour cream and green salsa.  The tomato was tonight's twist.  Honestly, it really wasn't noticeable.  I may well just skip it when I have salsa.

Also:  I used up the last of my white corn tortilas and cracked open the package of yellow corn ones I got yesterday.  I think I like the yellow ones a bit better, they're more corn-y.  Now if I can just find some that are non-GMO (these might be, reports vary and they're not labeled) and preferably preservative-free ... but either one is probably wishful thinking around here.

Snack: 1 slice sourdough toast with ~2T Meijer natural crunchy peanut butter (300 calories)

Daily total:  2035 calories.  That's more like it.  Now, if I just ditch the bread...

Exercise:  Nope.  Winter has to end one of these days, right?
