Yeah, I let the beast off the chain last night.  I just ate until I was tired of eating.  Which of course is way past the point I should have stopped eating.  But that moment has been coming for a while, it just finally happened.

Yup.  Unsurprisingly I was not hungry.

Snack:  Little bag of trail mix

Dinner:  2x Culvers double deluxe, fry daddy's jalapeno ranch snack mix, 12 oz Coors Light, Nice oatmeal mini cookies

Excellent BOGO burgers.

Not an unusual theme for the run up to vacation ... being extra busy I tend to take shortcuts and eat the wrong stuff.  And once you start doing that, it's easy to eat way too much of the wrong stuff.  Sigh.  I will definitely need a reset when I get back.

Weird morning.  In multiple ways.  Woke up at 3:30.  Awake awake.   Ended up nodding back off around 5:00 and predictably was much less awake after I woke up later.  Still kinda sluggish as I start writing this after breakfast.  

Also felt extremely heavy.  Dense.  Guessed a number and was very surprised when the actual number was much lower and ... down slightly?  What?  I mean, great, and I'm still up several pounds, but huh?  Weird.  

I was absolutely pouring when I woke up but I'm still hopeful to get in at least nine holes this afternoon.  Definitely need the exercise.

Breakfast:  Lazy bagels with cream cheese, coffee


Almost didn't buy yogurt to make these this week, since I'm going to be on vacation and will miss the next couple and the store didn't have any small cups, just the quarts.  May be a super dairy intensive week.

Lunch:  Leftover deluxe rotel dip and Donkey chips


Tasty.  And excessive.

Also:  Wendy's single and 6pc spicy nugget

Dinner:  Hot dogs w MR, chips, salad, vanilla ice cream w choc sauce

Was hungry.  Kicked this up with a whole can of southwest beans, lots of cheddar cheese, jalas, extra chiles.  Yum.

Up slightly this morning but not at all unexpected.  Definitely did a little musing on how I'm feeling and I truly believe that if I reduce the carbs significantly and walk more regularly that I'll feel better.  Once I'm back from vacation that is.  I don't feel bad, just not as good as I could.  A little sluggish, sometimes dozy.

Late breakfast, just beat the changeover.  

Lunch:  Soup, grilled cheese, Siete ranch grain free tortilla chips


Last of the great soup.

Yup.  Some of that excess water and stuff went away.  Now if I could just stop accumulating so much of it on the weekends.  I probably would have dumped even more if I hadn't had so many chips last night.  Note to self, stop buying so much crap, you won't eat it if you don't have it on hand.

Also, just did a super quick scroll and man do I ever eat a lot of carbs.  What would happen if I, you know, didn't.  Might be worth exploring once I'm back from vacation.  Maybe.

Super impressed with just how much talent I have for packing on the pounds when I binge.  I thought I had a reasonable estimate of a large gain this morning but blew past that like it was nothing.  Yeesh.  Not good, especially considering I have a banquet to attend tomorrow.

Got rid of a lot of water today though so tomorrow may not be as bad.

Not a particularly interesting end to the weekend.  Rainy day, so no golf.  Stayed up WAY too late for football last night so I've been rather tired.  No great accomplishments had.

I didn't pay a price for yesterday's awful eating but today's ... hoo boy.  It will be ugly.  

Breakfast:  Lazy bagels and cream cheese, coffee


Best batch yet.

Lunch:  Subway meatball sub, leftover rotel dip and donkey chips



Dunno why that sounded good.  It wasn't.  The rotel dip however was delightful.

Snack:  Chips and onion dip.

Boredom eating.  Sort of.  Maybe apathy would be a better word.

Dinner:  American goulash, garlic toast, salad no dessing, blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream, 12 oz Mich Ultra


Oof.  Way too much.

Exercise:  Nope.   Did hit a bucket of range balls and moved around some this morning, does not really count.

Another quick late post.

Solid.

Lunch:  Lemon-lime Gatorade, 16 oz Miller Lite, mixed nuts

They didn't have G Zero and were out of waters.  On a humid day, I needed liquid.

Dinner:  Super Rotel dip with Donkey tortilla chips, 12 oz Coors Light, a tomato, Nicks mint chip


Rotel dip was sausage, cream cheese, cheddar, rotel, jalapenos and a half can of leftover southwest pinto beans.  Great.  Not good for me (especially the chips) but very tasty.

TGIF.  Made it through another week.  So much work to do.

Breakfast:  Coffee, donut (at 10:00)

Office birthday party, cracked and had a good donut.

Lunch:  Brisket, smoked mushrooms, a little hot BBQ sauce, pickles, brown butter rice krispie treats


Cracked again.  RKTs were good but not life changing, can probably resist in the future.  Also decided that I'm not a huge fan of whatever wood this place is using in their smoker.

Dinner:  Onion burger, chips, 16 oz Mich Ultra, Nicks mint chip


Post golf dinner out, won't be too many more this year.

Improving (and Not) With Age

Whew.  Tired today.  Did too much last night, didn't get to sleep until probably midnight.  Had a very difficult time dragging myself out of bed and I'm definitely not operating at peak performance on less than six hours of sleep.

Unlike me the soup improved with age.  Go soup.  And I got rid of more water bloat.  Continuing to get lots of complements, which is nice.

Breakfast:  Coffee

Lunch:  Soup and grilled cheese


Last of the fridge soup, back to more reasonable portion sizes tomorrow.  I'm rather full but once again have that urge to continue the eating experience.  Which, thankfully, I'm able to resist today because then I would really be hurting.  

Dinner:  Pollo asado, rice, beans, salsa, cheese, guac.  12 oz Coors Light.  A few mixed nuts.  Nicks pb cup

Exercise:  Sorta.  Messed around with the medicine ball this morning for a few minutes, hit a bucket of range balls and moved furniture for an hour tonight.  Counting it.

Predictable Gainz

Well, in at least one way I'm glad the holiday weekend is over.  I ate horrendously once again and spiked the scale badly.  Control is rather lacking at the moment and I need to have a relatively good week to get back on track.  Less than three weeks until vacation too.

Nailed the weight prediction this morning, right down to the fraction of a pound.  Vaguely concerning that I can estimate a large gain with that much precision.

Breakfast:  Coffee

Yup.

Lunch Part 1:  CFA spicy chicken sandwich

On the road, needed more coffee and because I've been eating so much my body decided it needed food.  So I had lunch a little early.

Lunch Part 2:  Soup and grilled cheese


A couple hours later.  New batch of soup, quite good but not quite to the level of the all timer batch from last time.

Snack:  Mixed nuts

Dinner:  Taco salad, 12 oz Miller Lite, Nicks mint chip


Excellent effort tonight.

Exercise:  9 holes, nearly all walked.  Lots more than usual.

Tired this morning, not sure why.  Dozed for an extra hour before I got going.

Bought underwear the next size down, wore a pair today, fits fine.  Yay, I can retire another size.

Still have not gotten rid of all the excess water brought on by the unnecessary dalliance with pizza hut.  I don't know why their pizza is so much more thirst-inducing, but it is.  And then it takes a few days to get rid of it.  I'm not exactly helping things with other choices, but still.  I know it's water.

On an unrelated note, I bought a medicine ball at Walmart this morning.  I see russian twists and stuff in my future, would be nice to recover a little core strength.

Breakfast:  Lazy bagels with cream cheese, coffee


Easy and dependably good.  And I should not eat them.

Lunch:  Leftover mushroom and swiss burger, Snyder's seasoned pretzel twists

Forgot to weigh in this morning.  I was so focused on getting out the door to do my grocery shopping that I didn't remember until I was fully dressed to the shoes.  Decided it wasn't worth it to start over, I'm sure I was up a fair amount after another way too salty Pizza Hut experience.  Drank a ton of water and could never completely kill the thirst.  Definitely maxed out the water intake.  Got rid of some of it but I'm sure it wasn't all.

Breakfast:  2 eggs over medium, 3 strips bacon, hash browns, raisin toast w homemade jam, coffee


Standard pre-golf breakfast.

Lunch:  Bloody mary, 12 oz Miller Lite, chips and onion dip

Tried to change up my luck, didn't work, had a beer after.

Dinner:  Home mushroom and swiss burger on a pretzel bun, 12 oz Coors Light, Nicks triple choc


Quite good.

I went back and looked at the first of the month and remembered what I had posted, that it was nice to start the month off with a new low.  Once again .... nice to start the new month off with a new low.  Which frankly was surprising since I had pizza, but not as much given that I did a lot of physical stuff for three or four hours after that.  Burning off the calories is still a bit of a thing.

Hopefully this month I don't balloon way up.

Lunch:  Soup and grilled chese


Standard.  This really is the best batch of soup I have ever made.

Dinner:  Pep and Ham pizza, Nicks mint chip


Local place.  Tasty.

Exercise:  Nope.  Didn't get to sleep until after midnight, let myself sleep until 6:00 and I knew I had a million things to do at work today.
