A terribad month on the eating front but so it goes. Try, try again.
I was very concerned that I had seriously injured my left foot and ankle yesterday, it got progressively more painful the last few holes and I could hardly walk in the evening. Legs swollen too. Thankfully it wasn't as bad this morning and it seems to be OK after I wore an ankle brace this afternoon.
Very warm and humid to start but a little front went through, dropped the temp five degrees, dew point ten and kicked up a small breeze for a picture perfect late afternoon and evening. Good breaks.
Breakfast: 4 strips Wright applewood thick cut bacon, coffee
Lunch: Pizza with pepperoni, bacon, onion and jalapeno
So good.
Dinner: Sirloin steak, salad, a few chips, 12 oz Miller Lite
Also: Big Mac, mcChicken, cheeseburger
Exercise: 18 holes lots of extra walking

It wasn't brutal but it was still nice to get Monday in the books.
Breakfast: ~ 2 oz Armour hard salami, coffee
I'd show you a pic of four slices of salami but I didn't take one.
Lunch: 2 eggs over medium, 5 strips Wright thick cut applewood bacon, Alexia hash browns in butter
So good. It's kinda pushing it on time to do the bacon in the oven since I don't like to take more than an hour at lunch, so I made some extra for next time. Quicker to just heat for a couple minutes!
Dinner: 4 ground beef tacos, mexican style, plus cheese and hot sauce
You gotta love Taco Monday. Also, I would have been satisfied after 2 or 3 ... but then again once I finished eating I wanted to keep eating. Fat people are weird,.
Exercise: Nope. Can't describe how much I want to get back to regular walking. It has been way, way too long.

Lots of rain today, so no golf. Instead I got stuff done around the house. Rearranged furniture, found a new entertainment center on Craigslist for a heck of a lot less than new -- convenient, too since I talked myself out of a trip to Ikea this morning.
Breakfast: 2 eggs over medium, 4 strips thick cut bacon, small quantity of Alexia hash browns in butter, coffee
Not many hash browns left in my bag and I didn't feel like opening a new one, so I ate less.
Lunch: Homemade pepperoni bacon pizza with light mozzarella and parmesan
Fan freaking tastic.
Snack: McDouble
Dinner: Al pastor burrito
Exercise: Nope. Very active all day but no dedicated exercise.

Side Ugh'd

TGIF of course. Very sluggish start this morning, just not sleeping well. This issue I have with my side makes moving around to find a comfortable position challenging, plus my extreme apple shapedness -- really it's more like barrel shaped, I just have a ton of weight in my midsection shoulders to hips -- has left me not well rested. Tomorrow is going to suck because I'm going to have to get up an hour and a half earlier than normal.
On the bright side, another tick down on the scale. I'm seeing small improvements in the rest of me. Still so far to go but it's trending in the right direction.
Breakfast: 5 strips thick cut bacon, coffee
I cooked up the rest of the package last night and would have been fine with 3 strips, except -- fat logic alert -- it seemed dumb to dirty another pan reheating the rest some other time. So I'll be eating a bit less at lunch instead I think.
Lunch: 2 eggs over medium, 2 beef and cheddar smoked sausages, Alexia hash browns in butter
This was actually too much food. Still ate it though, because (a) fat and (b) delicious.
Dinner: Dominos brooklyn ham pepperoni and jalapeno. Will prob get into some chips and onion dip
Audible, changed off tacos. It was satisfactory.

Possibly Mushy

I was trying to think of the right adjective to describe my appearance this morning. I mean, other than awful. I think what brought it on was how it changes when I'm leaning forward like when brushing teeth or shaving, all the muscles that keep the fat in check go slack and I'm ... mushy. I dunno. Not quite it, but neither is bloated, puffy or just superfat.
On a more positive note, things continue to tick down slowly on the scale and that's a good thing. It definitely gets the day off to a positive start when I see that. I think it has helped that I've been more resistant to snacking lately (and haven't had much on hand). Satiety even kicked in yesterday after lunch, now if it would just kick in faster that would be swell.

Maybe I hit the store tonight, maybe tomorrow night. Not sure yet.
Lunch: 1 egg over medium, 2 beef and cheddar smoked sauasages, Alexia hash browns in butter
Kinda like the GOAT. Just with less bacon and avocado.
Dinner: ~ 8 oz leftover smoked prime rib, 4 strips thick cut bacon, 2 corn tortillas
Hard to beat the combination of beef and bacon. Ate some on the tortillas, which was fine, but it was fine by itself too. I debated adding some cilantro and onion (I did make it to the store) but since it's already 8:00 I decided to skip it.
Exercise: Nope. Hoping to be active this evening but it won't be straight on exercise.

Nothing too interesting to say today. I had to do some work-related travel so even though it was a little out of the way I went to the smoked meat place and the farm and stocked up a bit.
Breakfast: Coffee
My body has definitely gotten used to having a bit of breakfast again, so I was hungry by lunchtime. I even had lunch a little early.
Lunch: Chick Fil A spicy chicken sandwich, 12 piece nugget
No excuse for eating bun this time since I parked it, but I did. Doh.
Dinner: ~ 8 oz smoked prime rib, 1 beef and cheddar sausage link
Pretty good. The prime rib was definitely more done than I prefer but it was still good. It wasn't cheap at $18/lb but then again I paid $16/lb for ribeye at the farm ... which I have to cook. The sausages at $9/lb are a bargain. The good news is I have a couple more meals worth of stuff.
Exercise: Nope. Up too late last night to have any hope of an early start.

Lots of liquid exited and despite a McLunch yesterday produced another dip on the scale. Made for a happy morning. Undoubtedly it's again just a function of being very fat and eating a relatively reasonable number of calories instead of actual full-on fixing of eating habits, but a win is a win. Now if I can just get to walking.

Lots of liquid exited and despite a McLunch yesterday produced another dip on the scale. Made for a happy morning. Undoubtedly it's again just a function of being very fat and eating a relatively reasonable number of calories instead of actual full-on fixing of eating habits, but a win is a win. Now if I can just get to walking.
Breakfast: Coffee
As mentioned, not prepared for the week. I'll need to hit the grocery store tonight. Err, tomorrow night.
Lunch: 2 eggs over medium, 6 strips bacon, Alexia hashbrowns in butter
Still the GOAT. Was hungry.
Snack and golf: Some Meijer hot and spicy pork rinds, 24 oz Miller Lite

Walk It Off

Walking is good for weight loss, it covers for a lot of really crappy eating.
Just saying.
I was utterly unprepared for the week to start. I don't have food prepped or planned, didn't go to the grocery store, farm or smoked meat place.
Breakfast: Cottage cheese, coffee
Lunch: Big Mac, McDouble
Dinner: 4 tacos mexican style plus cheese, hot sauce, will probably have a few pork rinds
Exercise: Nope

Sun After Not Sun

It may not be particularly warm, but at least I believe today will be dry and sunny. I'm looking forward to getting back outside.
Very tired this morning. Haven't been sleeping well and even though I napped for a bit yesterday evening I still was drained when I woke up so I went back to bed and dozed for a while longer. When I finally got up about 9:15 I felt much more normal.
I've had some back pain the last week as well what I hope is a strained muscle in my upper left chest. No treatment, just trying to be careful. If it continues too much longer I may need to get it checked out.
Breakfast: 5 strips Wright thick cut applewood bacon, 1 medium avocado, coffee, a few potato chips
Cleaned up the last of the chips. Somehow the avo was still underripe despite five days of sitting on the counter. /shrug
Lunch: Homemade pizza with pepperoni
Somehow I managed to not have any mozzarella, so I just used grated parmesan like the old school Chef Boy Ar Dee pizza kits. Turned out delicious.
Dinner: Logan's Roadhouse - 6 oz sirloin, mashed potatoes with gravy, side salad with ranch, roll with buttter, 16 oz Miller Lite
Exercise: 18 holes with cart, lots of extra walking. I had my phone in my pocket, which I never do, it said I got in 9,000 steps.

Yet another rainy Saturday. This has been a cold, wet, unpleasant runup to summer. Everyone is tired of it, including me.
Breakfast: 2 eggs over medium, 3 strips bacon, hash browns, raisin toast with homemade strawberry jelly, coffee
Standard pre-golf breakfast out.
Lunch: Hot dog wrapped w bacon and cheese + KMRO, homemade chips plus ranch dressing
Early dinner: 2 chicago dogs, chips and onion dip
Also: Bowl of homemade chili, Yoplait YQ yogurt
The yogurt was something I got for free at the grocery store. It was pretty decent, though I do not believe the claim of only 9g of carb.
