The Tastiness Of Food In Air Quotes

Saturday, March 1, 2025

Phew.  Made it, barely.  The weekend.  Sure, it's just going to be a continuation of the work week, but still.  The rest of the world will be doing other things which will give me a little opportunity to get more caught up.

It's also the start of a new month.  February was not a success, though essentially all of my small gain for the month was the last three days.  I don't expect that weight to stick around, at least not if I reset and get back on track today.  My brain is already fighting it a little, wanting the dopamine hit from eating delicious food.  And it was, even if it was mostly "food".  The burgers, fries, chili dogs were all exquisite, as was the first pizza.  The chain pizzas weren't as good, but they still scratched a certain itch.  But that needs to be in the past.  Back to home cooked, simple, repeatable stuff.

ETA:  Just wrote myself some cheat slips.  One pizza, one burger, one breakfast, one treat of choice.  For the month of March.  I'll end up using all of them on my vacation in three weeks, but maybe if I allow myself a specific number of things each month I won't blow up as hard?  Or maybe I can even not use them.  Maybe.

Breakfast:  3 CF sausage patties, bone broth rice, orange juice, coffee

Last of the week's sausage, plus a rice I thawed for some night this week.  There are a few things to clean up (and mostly toss) in the fridge due to the whole going off the rails thing.

Lunch:  Keto bowl

Dependably tasty.  And a lot of food.

Dinner:  IP stewed beef, mashed potatoes, 12 oz All Day IPA

Basically beef stew stripped of the veggies.  The IP does great work making tender beef.  Tasty and I'll get a few more meals out of it.  Hoping it thickens up a bit when cooled, I didn't use a huge amount of cornstarch.

Will probably cap things off with a glass of chocolate milk.

Exercise:  Nope.  Not even very active.  Just did some routine things.
