Donuts Tomorrow Maybe?

Felt pretty decent tonight, especially after dinner.  Nice to get out and do something.

Breakfast:  ~ 2 oz CF BBQ jerky, coffee

Only bag I had left, some random kind I have no idea why I selected.  Ingredient list has 4 different sugars, but it wasn't notably sweet at least.  I'll pick up more tomorrow hopefully.

Lunch:  Corned beef hash (with hash browns, potato and swiss cheese), cinnamon raisin toast, coffee

Different place, different version.  No egg with this one.  Good, but starchy.

Also:  BK frozen coke

Dinner:  Leftover ribeye and vigo yellow rice, fried in some butter.

You know this wasn't going to be bad.  And it wasn't.

Dessert:  Bowl of chocolate ice cream

Exercise:  9 holes with cart

It wasn't a completely terrible awful no good day.  I managed (barely) to avoid the siren song of fast food.  I ate things I had on hand.  I even ate what I had planned.  A rarity indeed.  (Edit:  I forgot the frozen Coke.  Oops.)

Exercise is going to limited to golf for a bit.  I've been having foot problems - mainly heel pain - and that's really cut into my inclination to walk.  I think it's easing up some (this has been going on for a few weeks now), let's hope.  And gym work is on a break due to funds.

Posts have been bare bones for a while, but I'm feeling verbose tonight and I don't have too many projects going at home for once.  I still have a list, but I think they're going to wait for the weekend.

Breakfast:  2 oz CF cajun beef jerky, coffee

If I make it to the farm this week I think this might become a regular breakfast feature.  It's about as easy as it gets, it's probably better for me than cured meats and it cuts out a little dairy if I skip cheese.

Lunch:  2 eggs fried in a pat of butter, 5 strips thick cut bacon, Alexia hash browns in butter, medium avocado

Featuring as always creole seasoning and hot sauce
This may be my death row meal.  I've always thought it would be pizza but this is so good.  Sure it's about 1000 calories (or more) but did I mention so good?  I have just absolutely nailed it the last two days -- pan fried the bacon instead of oven cooking, I just like it better that way and it's easier to do it on a lunch hour timeframe.

Mid-PM:   Frozen Coke from a gas station.

It was hot as balls today.

Pre-dinner:  2 hot shots, 12 oz Founders Solid Gold

I was hungry when I got home, this bought me an hour plus to sous vide the steak.

Dinner:  ~ 8 oz CF grassfed ribeye, sous vided and seared in a bit of avocado oil and butter, Vigo yellow rice

Sous vide makes perfect meat so easy.
Very good.  Sear is a little weak, but inside, no range hood, etc etc.  And I have leftovers for tomorrow night!

Dessert:  A dish of chocolate ice cream

I have a half gallon from a local farm to knock off.  Will get me through several more days.

Exercise:  Nope.  See above.

I dunno why I like cheese grits but I do.  Bacon wasn't my usual, insteead I just picked up a small quantity from the butcher shop on Friday.  Need to hit the grocery store.

4thmeal:  3 McD cheeseburgers, limeade

Feels like I won the lottery tonight.

I was bummed when Meijer stopped carrying my favorite kind of hash browns.  These things happen, you know -- a product you love just vanishes.  I went to a number of locations to see if I could score a few bags, no luck.  Tried all the other local full line groceries, nope.  Walmart, nope.  Tried the online retailer checker, no other retailers listed.

Went into a small independent neighborhood grocery/meat market tonight for something else and THEY HAD THEM.  Holy ****.  I bought one bag but might go back and clean them out.  Sure, they're twice as expensive, but yeah I do not care.  Hyped!

Now, about that whole fixing the diet business...

Lunch:  Qdoba brisket bowl with chips, a chocolate cupcake
Dinner:  Italian beef sandwich, fries, root beer
